Grow Your Own Medicine

Herbs are an easy and nutritious addition to any little garden plot or planter box you have. ⁣Growing a few simple culinary herbs 🌿 at home is as empowering as it is educational! Here at the Eir Mobile Medicine HQ (aka: my home🏡 ), I have slowly been transitioning my sunny ☀️ front garden into a collection of culinary + medicinal goodies. The colours, scents and tastes coming from this garden provide joy to the whole neighbourhood. ⁣

Read on to learn a little bit about a few easy herbs to grow…⁣

🌱 Parsley: Rich in antioxidants, this mighty herb supports your cardiac system and strengthens bones. It’s also delicious mixed into salad! ⁣

🌱 Sage: This wise, hearty herb is one of my favourites. It is particularly helpful to support your digestive system and alleviate bloating, gas, and discomfort. This fragrant herb is also known to help ease depression + memory loss. ⁣

🌱 Lemon verbena: This tall and lanky beauty is best used to support the respiratory system, but can also help soothe you to sleep in times of insomnia. Steeping this herb in hot water makes for a decadent + delicious night time tea. ⁣

🌱 Thyme: Thyme is another super food that can help ease sore throat, cough, and even bad breath! ⁣

🌱 Rosemary: Rich in iron and vitamin B-6, rosemary is more than just a pretty face. This herb is anti-inflammatory and helps aid in blood circulation. ⁣
